The other morning at work we had a little brainstorming session for articles/topics we could put into the November issues of both the Arklow and Wexford Messengers. Typically, this time of year would all be about Fall, and of course, Thanksgiving. Well, here in Ireland they really don’t have seasons, except that maybe it gets a little warmer and dryer from June – August (although, from what I hear that was certainly not the cast this summer!) and there is no Thanksgiving.
This brainstorming session was very late in the game, considering it is mid-October all ready, but I’ve learned that things tend to happen very last second around here, so I’m sure we’ll manage to pull it all together the day it needs to go off to print. And it was fun helping one of the writers coming up with ideas, all of which stem directly from my American roots.
It got me to thinking about Fall, and how I’ll be missing out on it – again – for the second year in a row (SF also doesn’t really have seasons.) I’ve comprised some little “mood” boards if you will on my Favourite Fall Fun things!

I also saw these photos on Clever Nettle's page and thought they were gorgeous, and quite fitting for this post.
And of course, my absolute number one favorite thing about fall is HALLOWEEN! (whose isn't?)
(I suppose Thanksgiving is pretty good too..)
Another glorious thing that happens every fall is the Zombie Pub Crawl in Minneapolis. I missed it - AGAIN - unfortunately, but I will most certainly be there next year!
